Photo Upload & Processing Consent
This page explains, in plain language, what happens to a photo you upload to the custom design studio, and the exact consents we ask for.
What happens when you upload
- Your photo is transferred over an encrypted connection.
- It is stored in private, access-controlled storage — never a public URL.
- Software analyzes it and generates a pixelated preview per your settings.
- If you submit a request, our staff can view the photo and previews to prepare your design.
The required consent
"I confirm that I have the right to upload this image and authorize TouchMosaic to store and process it for the purpose of creating a product preview and potential craft kit."
This is the only consent required to use the studio. It covers storage, automated analysis, preview generation, and staff review of your submission — nothing else.
Optional consents (always separate)
- Marketing email: "I would like to receive launch updates, early-access offers, and TouchMosaic news." Optional, revocable anytime.
- Promotional feature: "TouchMosaic may contact me about featuring this design in marketing. My image will not be used publicly without additional approval." Even with this box checked, we still need your explicit approval of the specific use before anything is shown publicly.
What we will never do
- Publish your photo or preview publicly by default.
- Use your photo in ads or social media without the separate approval above.
- Use your photos to train machine-learning models.
- Sell your photos or personal information.
Deletion
Email hello@touchmosaic.example.com with your reference number and we will delete your submission, photo, and generated files. Unconverted submissions are automatically deleted after our retention period (currently 12 months).
